DANCE CLASSES

The dance classes at Jacob’s Tent are offered to our tribe members as an opportunity to teach and prepare anyone who wants to worship the Lord through movement and dance. These classes are primarily rooted in ballet and dance worship and prepare you with much physical conditioning. Two classes are provided for the different age groups. Ages 7-13 will have a class from 5:30pm-6:15pm, and ages 14+ will have a class from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays at Jacob’s Tent.

WORSHIP IN SIGN

Worship in Sign is a group for all ages that uses American Sign Language as a way to beautifully minister to the heart in ways words cannot reach. We also have a heart for the Deaf community and strive to be a Deaf friendly church that can offer accessibility in both the service and in fellowship. Crystal Ann Day and Kristina Moutrey teach the basics in a way that is both fun and informative.  Every Shabbat we teach some of the songs for worship that day along with basic greetings, deaf culture, and so much more. Classes are held every Shabbat from 9:30am-10:30am.

DAVIDIC DANCING

Worshiping through Davidic dance is an opportunity to joyfully express praise and thanksgiving to God. Everyone is encouraged to join in the dance – even if they have “two left feet”- because God isn’t looking for “perfect dance steps”. He is looking at the heart.

Davidic Worship dancers meet together at 10AM on Shabbat mornings to practice the steps to the worship songs. There is a YouTube channel anyone can subscribe to if they’d like to learn and practice choreographed dances.

THE WATCHMEN

The Watchmen Team is comprised of men, women, and children that have heard the call from the Father to blow to Shofar over the congregation during various services including Rosh Chodesh, Shabbats, and the High Holy Days. The Watchmen practice sounding in unity in efforts to have one unified sound go up to the Father on behalf of the congregation whenever we are called upon. Anyone that hears the call can join the team, but we ask that you speak with one of Watchmen leadership to aid in your transition. We also ask that new members practice for a time before sounding over the congregation. Meetings are held one hour prior to any service to practice and prepare the ground.

WORSHIP ARTS TEAM

The Worship Arts Team is made up of dancers, flaggers, actors, and ASL signers, and we have come together to do everything from presentations to full productions. Rather than having regularly scheduled productions or presentations, our Worship Arts Director and choreogrphers prayerfully seek the Father on what message He wants us to share in every season. Some seasons are busier than others, but when we do have a project on the horizon we select from the pool of amazing talent that we are blessed to have in our congregation.

View our playlist below to see some of our team members as they worship the Father.
